Student Support

We understand the importance of being here when you need us. We offer a range of information, advice and guidance services to help you get the most of your experience while studying with Colchester Language Academy.
We also have a dedicated welfare officer to take care of all students’ personal and medical needs.
If you are coming to study in the UK from a country outside Europe, you will need to apply for a student visa.
You can find out more about these visas on the UKBA website.
We welcome students of all ages and nationalities but we recommend that you contact us to discuss your needs and requirements.
Colchester Language Academy can arrange accommodation for our students.
The most popular accommodation is the homestay where student become a full member of the household, eating together and sharing the communal living areas.
Homestay: An advantage of living at a homestay is that you can practice speaking English with your host and experience British culture first hand. It can be a really lovely addition to your experience in Colchester.
House share: Houses can accommodate from 4-7 students with shared facilities which include a common dining room, living room, bathroom, kitchen and even a patio with garden in most cases. The average is 1 to 2 bathrooms per house.
We understand the importance of Equality and Diversity, we are committed to creating an environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone is treated fairly regardless of gender, disability, ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital status, age or nationality.
Therefore we are pleased to offer
A working and studying environment that celebrates Equality and Diversity.
A friendly community of staff and students
A recognising, embracing and valuing difference atmosphere
Students and staff are welcome from all over the world
